So I am down at Simcom currently getting my insurance requirements out of the way. Funny how confident insurance companies are with Simulator training. This is my first time, and I can tell you there isn't much overlap in my case. (that is for another post)
An item that came up was just leaving the fuel interconnect open during flight. Instead of keeping an eye on fuel imbalances just connect the tanks like a 690. Wondering if anyone had thoughts on this?
Thanks in advance.

Sean - leaving it open won’t work. It doesn’t have the inherent stability of the 690 center tank based system. That’s why it’s there.

Thank you. I figured it had to be different, especially since the inner bladders are at the same elevation, where the center tank on the 690 is below the main tanks. Makes perfect sense.

I didn't even know they had interconnect. I don't remember that from my 1000 training at SimCom. But then again, I barely remember what day of the week it is. ;)

Most of the time when I mess with the interconnect, I find I end up making the situation worse, rather than better.

;D. Me too.
It could be useful if you’re on an incline and want to top it off from the high wing.
