TWIN COMMANDER 500 AIRCRAFT JACK MOUNTS
« on: May 28, 2018, 12:08:27 pm »
I am looking for the nose and wing mounts for the jacks so I can lift my 500A and do a gear swing. Anyone have any idea where to find them or what they look like so I can manufacture them myself?
Please email me at bobby@caribbeanexport.com

does it require a nose jack?  I figured all Commanders only required two wing jacks and you tied the tail down to jack against?

Glenn,
That is why you are a hero member and I am a newbie. One day soon I will know something about my darn 500A and will hopefully join the class of whatever comes after Newbie.
I got my jack mounts and lifted the plane only to remember that I need a hydraulic mule too.
The search for a mule and knowledge continues into 2019

I think Glenn is awol from this site. He must be having too much fun with the beech 18.

Check with Tronair. They make very nice ground support equipment. I bought a set of there wing jacks for my 210 and paid for them the first year when we were able to do annuals in my hangar.

I found one in my neighbors hangar that I can borrow. I had priced them out on Tronair but they are crazy expensive. I was just going to buy a reversible pump and use that. I still may do that anyway but Im out from under the gun on necessity now.

Hangar neighbors are almost always a good thing to have... especially when they happen to have what you need 8)

You also don't have to have a mule and can remove plugs from an engine and just use it to crank up gear.
