695A Instructor
« on: May 28, 2020, 05:01:19 pm »
I'm trying to find a Commander CFI with 695A time. 695 and 695B time don't count. 690 time is right out. Someone in the American southwest is strongly preferred.

Anyone know anyone?

How much 695A time? And, honestly, you need to talk with your insurance agent or have them talk with the underwriter. 695B and 695 time should be just as good. A good agent should have no problem convincing the underwriter of that.

I would call Larry York Aviation. I'm pretty sure his guys would qualify.

In my experience, insurers care much more about the syllabus and lesson plans than about whether you have 695B or A time.

Thanks, that looks like a great lead.

I'm about *this* close (holds up thumb & finger) to dropping the underwriter. I can understand not counting 690-5 time, but not counting 695B time?

I wonder what would have happened if I asked for a quote on a Commander 1000 instead of a Commander 695A....

I would probably ask about the Commander 1000! I think my insurance stuff all references "Commander 980."
