Hydraulic Left Brake Will Not Release After Actuation
« on: February 27, 2019, 06:22:07 pm »
On my 500A we recently overhauled and rebuilt the right and left brakes, and calipers and after reassembly and bleeding the lines the left brake locks up when actuated and wont release the hydraulic pressure unless the line pressure is released manually at the brake. Any ideas on what could be holding it up? The right brake works perfectly. We replace everything in the brakes so Im thinking that a check valve is sticking but where?

Did you replace the master cylinder itself?  If not I'd suggest maybe taking it apart and check it.  They get worn after a while and may be clogged up somewhere.  Other than that I'd check mechanical linkages and make sure nothing is getting stuck after being pressed down.

Good luck,
