Jerrie Cobb-- RIP
« on: April 27, 2019, 01:04:21 am »
Jerrie Cobb passed away March 18. She was most famous for almost becoming the first female astronaut, but before that she was famous as a test and demonstration pilot for Aero Commander!

Nice obit from the Washington Post:

After her NASA dreams were ended, she did missionary flying in South America for almost 50 years...

RIP, Jerrie.

She was quite the aviator - I gave the book about her to my daughter Amelia.
