Inverters

I am planning to get rid of the inverters in my airplane. At this point, all they power is the copilot HSI and the radar. The radar is going to be replaced with a Garmin GWX-75 and the copilot HSI with a Garmin G5.

Any idea how much weight I'll save? And should I push to remove all the associated AC wiring?

Also, any downsides to doing this?

Probably won’t save a ton of weight, but might save another point of failure.

I have the GWX 70 radar what does the 75 give you?

I think the 75 is just the newer version.
