AC 685 Fuel Flow
« on: September 16, 2020, 03:58:20 pm »
The mechanic that has been working on my airplane (AC685 N6517V) for the last couple of years has been having trouble with the left engine's fuel flow, here's the problem as he describes it:  "Engine  fuel flow low at take off power (43 gph) TCM specifies 51-52 gph, corresponding high TIT.   Unmetered fuel pressure 43.5 psi at pump outlet. TCM specifies 38-41 psi." Anybody here know what the problem might be? I appreciate any help. Thanks.

Hi, Sergio.

The TCM instructions refer us to the Commander maintenance manual for the procedure.  The full-power adjustment procedure is on page 4-11 of the Commander 685 maintenance manual and refers to figure 4-7 (on page 4-12), which identifies the hex-head screw that is used for that adjustment.

I hope this helps.
