Any 560Fs Still Flying
« on: May 15, 2020, 01:06:11 am »
Many years ago I had the privilege of owning N444R, a 560F. This is a great model Commander and has the power to handle a range of missions without the headache of the supercharger. Just wondering if there are any of these still flying and if so, what they are doing?

That was my dream piston model. I remember one came for sale, but unfortunately I had already set my eyes on Aerostars by then. They have huge range and real short field capability. Think the engines are a little orphaned, tho. Only model that uses them, as far as I know.
Slumming it in the turboprop world - so you don't have to.

Got that 520 itch back when I saw this one for sale:

There's just something so nice about the original snub nose and the bath tub nacelles. And the sound those augmentor tubes make is magic - like a pack of Harley's in close formation. Man I'm getting bleedy with age! ;)
