980 (695) POH Update
« on: November 16, 2020, 01:08:30 pm »
Twin Commander just sent me, via email, a POH update! Looks to be related to the fuel system, I haven't had a chance to compare what changed exactly. From the log of effective pages, appears to be the first one in 25 years.

What a surprise that must have been. I cannot remember the last time I received a POH update.

So what changed on the fuel system?

I'm not sure what changed. I haven't had a chance to compare it to the old version yet.

According to the log of effective pages, the last update was in 1995.

I think it is about a custom kit for the early 980's (95000-95040) that lets you upgrade to the bigger tanks. I read it and the pages with the fuel system diagram are almost illegible when printed (looked like they got faxed at some point) and I did not want to replace my POH pages with those pages. I asked Twin Commander and they said they would mail me proper pages. I have 95041 with the big tanks so it does not apply to me.

It looks like you are right. My airplane (95023) does have the long range tanks installed via the custom kit.

Maybe @AndrewWilson can provide some context.
