My dad's 1000 was 96008.

They bought the Jet Commander because my brother pointed out to them that they could use it for a few years and then scrap it for less than the depreciation on the new 1000. And they didn't fly that much anyway.

They are all special in their own way. The Jet Commander because it was the first jet I ever flew. The Citation because it was the first (and only) jet I ever flew single pilot-- and it was so easy to fly!

However, I really, really like the Falcon 50. It is fun to fly, can do ANYTHING, is just a phenomenal airplane. I also have a real soft spot for the Learjet 35, because I flew them so much and really got to understand the airplane.

And, of course, the 980!

Funny, we own 95008... you're right 96008 disappeared completely... maybe ditched in a jungle somewhere after illegal activities.
