Gear the same?

I remember hearing that the folding gears on the Commanders, from the 500B all the way up to the 695 models is basically the same, right? Is that correct?

"Basically" covers a lot of ground... it is all based on the same design, yes. Some parts are different between a 695A and 695B, for example. Let alone a 690 to a 695A.

That is always the line they used when selling Shrikes, though-- "Look at that gear! It's basically the same as the gear on that 690B over there!"
