Bruce, I thought there were a lot of 500s flying around Florida and the Bahamas... I know I saw a few when I was there last winter.

Who maintains those?

I don’t know, most Bahamian planes seem stay east of Florida.  Stella Maris used to have a 560 or something like it.  After many years here, I finally found a great piston tech on the east coast of south Florida. I’m sure there are others too.  Fortunately the planes are pretty forgiving.

Stella Maris still has a 500, or they did last January anyway.

I'm down for annual right now, but I just completed a trip to the east coast and back.
Not counting refueling stops, I visited Iowa, Ohio, Maryland, Virginia (2 places), Vermont and New York. I didn't hit any grass strips, but I did finally visit Tangier Island.

My annual is being done by a local guy who used to work on the 680s and 690s that belonged to New Mexico.

That commander is being serviced at North Perry airport. I just saw it yesterday at a hangar, with two older guys that I beleive were brougt in to do maintenance on that commander.
