I've decided to buy a 3rd engine for my 500B. The asking price is about 1/2 the price of a core from a major engine rebuilder. Accessories are included.
Is there any reason you wouldn't buy the left engine off this plane? It hasn't been torn down yet, but the crankshaft runout is 0.001" (Max limit is 0.002 for new, 0.005" for in service)
Second, if I did buy it - does anyone have recommendations on the shop to do the teardown inspection that's required by AD?
