"Tarmac Talk"
« on: January 25, 2023, 01:37:34 pm »
Had lots of fun convos' over the years in the FBO lounge and on the ramp when we pull up in the 980.

Remember one Lear 35 pilot saying to me 'now that's a real plane kid (pointing to the 980), I can carry less people and baggage just to get there 30 mins faster'

I think the most often I hear from other pilots is "wow a turbo commander a "REAL PILOTS AIRPLANE"

People love to come up and talk when the see the Commander. That is a cool aspect, for sure.

Yeah, out of the planes I've owned, Commanders definitely draw the most crowd! They come out of the woodwork to chat and share Commander stories! Quite often it's the old Hoover stories that we've all heard to death, but I don't mind. Just love that they want to talk Commanders.
Slumming it in the turboprop world - so you don't have to.
