Owner motivated and wants it sold! The plane was owned by a guy that wanted to have an annual inspection performed by Commander Services in Stockton a number of years ago. He purchased the plane through ill-gotten gains, was indicted, arrested and subsequently jailed on the east coast. Meanwhile, the plane sat here abandoned at SCK for years before ownership was wrested from the previous owner with the FAA’s blessing. Our A&P mechanic client bought N411WR, thinking he was going to bring it back to airworthiness; however, he suffered a massive heart attack, had a quadruple bypass, and has just concluded a colon cancer operation. He’s in no shape to restore the plane, and hence the reason for selling it now.
With the replacement of a center fuel cell, correction of a small right engine fuel leak, and left engine starter and alternator issue, the plane could become ready for ferry in relatively short order. Morris Kernick of Commander Services runs a very capable Aero Commander maintenance facility, located right here on the Stockton Metropolitan Airport, and he can provide insight, guidance and expertise in making N411WR ferry ready, or back to complete airworthiness with an annual inspection.
