Nose strut was low this morning. Sean and I looked through the maintenance manual and flight manual for minimum length for safety of flight. All we could find was nitrogen pressure of 95-100 pounds. We had 1” of chrome so it wasn’t completely flat. We texted and called all of our resources. We got numerous answers. Wondering what others know about this. After Bruce’s answer I felt we were good to go just to reposition the plane.

I think if you can see some chrome, you are okay, but not sure. I would like to know the answer!

I’m not an A&P but when it comes to nose gears, when in doubt, crank the wheel over both ways and pull the tail down to make sure it extends and centers. And I despise a low nose strut, that banging when it bottoms is like fingernails on a chalkboard
