Hancock Enterprises Reference Check

I recently had a bird strike in a 690A and ingested a portion of the offending seagull. I'm familiar with the good reputation of Byerly Aviation and Jet Access/Eagle Creek - both of whom have maintained the airplane and both of whom are being considered to do the work (but both of whom will have to send out the engine to an engine shop).

I've also gotten a proposal from Hancock Enterprises in Smyrna, TN and they are an unknown quantity to me. They are somewhat attractive because they can get to work quickly and are an engine shop. Can anyone provide a positive or negative reference for them?

Sorry to hear about your bird strike!

Hancock has certainly been around forever, and I believe hosted a Commander fly in recently. I think Adam might have had them do some work on his airplane.

I've only overhauled starter/gens and inspected injectors with them, so have no deeper interaction than that. Bob Hancock has always been good at communication and because he has a pretty extensive parts inventory, turnaround was always quick. Spoke to him about 3rd wheel options at length.I have only good things to say.

I would however mention another contact I like a lot: Brian at Arkansas Turbine. He's a honest and knowledgeable Garrett guy that does good work at fair price. My friend Stan and his 681 took it for him for tune-up, elbow etc and it was very reasonable. He gained a lot of power, more than 100hp per side after bench tests.
