New Inventory 2024!
« on: August 13, 2024, 09:33:20 pm »
From a super low engine time, air conditioned, G600/GNS750 equipped 690B for about $500,000 to a clean 1000 with low time engines and the right options, the Summer of 2024 presents a bunch of cool planes to buy and fly both on and off market planes.

2 -10 powered 840’s
2 -10 powered 690A’s
2 - 1000’s
1 - -5 powered 690B
1 - World’s nicest Shrike

I’ll try to post up some links asap. I’m working on the other side of the world for a few days but if you’re in the market, send me a message and I’m sure there’s something attractive for any Commander fan.

Where are the 1000's these days in price bracket? 1.5M?
Slumming it in the turboprop world - so you don't have to.

From engine value to $2.3MM depending on all of the factors. But we have a nice flying and reasonably equipped one in that range for sure.

Bruce, that is quite a price range for the 1000s!

I don’t mean to be flip but it’s just a matter of what they need. Take a $900k plane that needs a few hundred spend on it plus the $400k panel and factor in the 14,000 hours and they all even out.  Market is usually pretty smart. The surprising one is the G950 plane with high time engines bringing close to $2MM.  Not sure I understand that but I don’t make the market, just reacting.

I will say one of the best 1000s that I have flown had something like 15,000 hours on it when I was flying it 15 years ago. It probably is over 20,000 now.

I think that one might have been the recent low seller. I bought it from Norm about 2006 however.

The one I'm talking about was 695B 96063, which is still (as far as I know) with the State of Alaska. Ex-Wal Mart airplane.

You probably bought N333UP (can't remember the serial number), which was actually pretty low time as I recall, but I was never a fan.

We had another ex-Wal Mart 695B as well, but I only flew it once or twice. It wasn't around long. 96063, then N83WA, was around for about 10+ years at HIO.

It is a 695B. Now owned by a private pilot without an instrument rating.

Looks like the one I was thinking of is 96078, another ex-Wal Mart airplane. Now N695GH.

I only flew that one a few times, don't remember much about it.

Without instrument rating?  Isn't that like buying a sports car and only doing 35mph consistently?

I remember a few guys doing that back in the old days. One of whom didn't let his lack of an instrument rating stop him from flying in the flight levels!

More like buying a Bentley and having someone else drive you around. That's more likely, although not certain.

DonV, consistently hear your praise for the 695B.  If you had the chance, would you get a 695B 1000 over the 980?
