Jetprop Fuel Balance
« on: October 01, 2024, 11:39:05 pm »
This summer, I haven't been doing much flying, and the flying I have been doing has all been short legs. So I haven't topped the airplane off since, probably May.

As a result, I've built up a fuel imbalance and while I can have the fueler give me more on the right than the left to solve it, I'd prefer to solve it using the interconnect. And that is frustrating!

All I seem to do with the interconnect is make things worse, no matter what I try to do with the rudder. Then I got on the ground today and opened the interconnect while I was taxiing, and it started to even out!

I don't really have a question, just venting.

Is this a puzzle?!

Are we supposed to find a schematic of the fuel venting system on a jetprop and make t-shooting suggestions?

No, I'm just complaining.

I’ve always found a tiny bit of rudder would even it out if you dump from side to side but usually it’s indication and evening it out is just giving myself something to do …
