And believe me, having a lot of hours in both, there is a massive difference in capability between an old 690A and a nice 1000.
Price seems to largely be a function of engine time, and to some extent avionics. I feel that my 3-owner, low time (4700 hours), service center maintained (all it's life) 980 should be worth a premium, but my sense is that buyers look at it, figure 700 hours to overhaul and 12 year old avionics... and lowball it. That's just life.
