I just saw a post on Facebook that the 680 in my first post on this thread is now on top of a pole somewhere in Washington. A bit sad, but probably a better outcome than being melted down.

Saw this nice old 680 at KRDM yesterday... looks like she hasn't flown in a few years (and needs a rudder lock badly!) but still has air in the tires, and a very nice interior. The dry climate over there is good for preservation, so I think someone could get her going if they wanted to put in the effort.

Flightaware shows N2755L flew Chico Ranchaero (CL56)- Lincoln (LHM) on April 30th. 2156' of pavement at CL56 (plenty for these birds  . Remember flying in there in my training BE-77 Skipper back in the early 80's when my sisters were attending Chico State. They lived only a few blocks walk from CL56.

I'm pretty sure Flightaware is wrong on that one. It happens sometimes.
