Shops that service Aero Commanders in the West/Southwest.
« on: October 08, 2015, 11:35:54 pm »
Im just getting started in the Aero Commander world and need all the basic intel I can get on Getting, Maintaining, upgrading and Servicing a Twin commander.

The center of my flying is in San Diego and Im interested in finding a good shop to work on piston Twin Commanders.  Obviously closer is better.

Any recommendations ?

Don't know if KHHR is too far, but Security Aviation there took care of my 520 and Moe's 680FP (that Glenn now owns) for years. Ken would be the mechanic you want, he's got the most Commander experience.
Slumming it in the turboprop world - so you don't have to.

Thats not too bad.

I can fly up, drop off the plane and take the "Coaster" back to SD.

Thanks.

Morris is a bit more of a flight but if you could get it to him you'd be getting the work done by the master.  If I were going to have anything major done I think I'd opt for that every time.

You can't win an argument with an ignorant person,  they'll just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Commander Services
7900 S RA Bridgeford St
Hanger Q2
Stockton CA95206
209-982-9203

I believe it's the KSCK airport but someone else will have to confirm that.

I don't think he has a website or anything so you'll have to just call him and see if he has the time.  I think he stays pretty busy.
