LMAO, pigs are much harder to rope than goats. :-)  Especially when they are all greased up.

So - has anyone put an offer in and been turned down? Price estimated at?

No one liked my $25k.  But what can you do with a turbine without good books?  Even a Renaiassance candidate benefits from 8130's and time/life history.  Like the title to the thread, it's just plain SAD to think one isn't worth saving but until some real data is provided, there are few good options and the story doesn't end well in my opinion.  Hopefully they will come up with something. If this was the one I looked at ABQ, it didn't have original books years ago either.

The only one this would make sense for is if you plan on being its last owner and don't mind the missing books. Few of those around, admittedly. Sucker born every minute, as the saying goes. Hmm, somehow, everytime I look in the mirror I see that very sucker staring back at me... :o ;)

Must resist.  ;)

So I guess all the talk of multiple offers, etc was "sales puffery?"
Nope...I offered a dollar, Bruce topped me at $25K...they've had multiple offers. ;)

I flew the 500B over there today.  Met Greg and his new associate Brian who are nice guys.  Walked in to the hangar and first question I had for them was "does the bank know how screwed they are?"  I don't know how this stuff happens but what a shame. The plane is way worse that I hoped. Clearly  sat outside not flying in Miami for a long time. I have a hundred pics and am awaiting some further info as there may or may not be any significant records..  I'm not even sure what serial number it is.  If you want to help with it, let me know.  I'd love to have the work and boy it's gonna need it.  :-\

It was interesting.  I love these planes but making it like Steve's would be well, a challenge. .

So I talked with the seller today and he claims he has a bunch more money on the table than my parts offer. Folks, if you or someone you know thinks they might be cutting a fat hog here, please let me know. I have some goats!

I doubt it Don. There are a lot of better looking planes sitting in the grass in Venezuela and Columbia.

If someone buys it for parts, I want the little cup holders from the bottom of the pedestal (below the fuel gauges), if they're still there. When we upgraded the avionics on mine, we got rid of the extended pedestal, and could never find a set of replacement cup holders.
