Could you make your own, Don? The FAR's give you permission to do so.

You're probably right, that would be the easiest path. I should look into that.

I suspect that many of them were broken off over the years by pilots forgetting that they were extended and hitting them with their feet getting out of the seat.

Still there, advertised. Obviously $300K is a pipe dream. Any updates?

I like how the trade-a-plane ad says 980 with dash 10 conversion.

Wow!  Must have had some drugs hidden in that plane somewhere!  Good to hear though.

Any idea who bought it?

I think he's saying it didn't actually sell yet. But I'm sure the seller told Adam that he has lots of interest, and it's about to sell any day now!

That still seems pretty high for something that torn apart.  Even if he said he has all the replacements parts you'd never know for sure until after the purchase.  A lot of risk there for sure.

I would buy that myself if I had any hope of getting it into my hanger to work on.  No way I'd want to pay someone else to do all the work up there as you'd probably pay a mint for that service.

It looks like he's trying to sell the engines separately, for $150k each.

GARRETT TPE-331-10 ENGINES • $150,000 • FOR SALE CHEAP • Garrett TPE-331-10 engines complete but disassembled. Only 10 hours since HSI. Ready for reassembly • Contact Sales Manager - AMERICAN AIRCRAFT APPRAISAL AND EXPORT LLC, Owner - located Norfolk, VA USA • Telephone: 8442892538 . • Posted December 20, 2016

The engines are the big issue here. To move it, you need engines. Maybe Bruce can set you up with some rentals?
