Hop to Georgetown - Waffles/Chicken at The Monument Cafe
« on: October 27, 2016, 12:02:21 pm »
This past weekend I took the 680FL to Waco (ACT) and picked up the sister and brother-in-law, then hopped down to Georgetown to eat brunch at The Monument Cafe.  Photo is on the tarmac at ACT.  My Austin based niece picked us up at GTU so there was no need for the hot rod courtesy cars, two of which are usually available.

The food, as always, was delicious and at 100 nm from Mid-Way Regional it is a perfect place for bunch. www.themonumentcafe.com The fuel was $3.35 versus $4.35 at Mid-Way and the peeps at Georgetown are always very nice.

Starter on left engine was a bit iffy.  Swapped it later in the week to confirm it was the starter, and have now replaced.

A nice short trip, cheap gas, and great food.  Such is the life.

Next week heading to Taylor, TX (T74) for Dinosaur Ribs at www.louiemuellerbarbecue.com.

Flying photo was taken from my Cessna T-210.

We were peddling as fast as she would go.   ::)
