RSVMed 900?
« on: February 12, 2017, 05:01:35 pm »
I know the -10 900 model can be RSVMed with a stall warner and a VG mod. But according to TCFG website it's ceiling is FL320. Doesn't seem logical that it has a different ceiling than the 1000 model, when they share the same hull, engines, wing and pressurization system. Does anyone know if the 900 with -10's can be certified to FL350 like the 1000?
Slumming it in the turboprop world - so you don't have to.

You have to remember that the whole point of the 900 was to build a lower-cost version of the 1000. So, obviously, the dash 5 engines, which made going too much above FL310 a moot point anyway. And I think maybe as a result of that, it had a lesser oxygen system or something, related to certification-- but I could be wrong. I've never flown a 900.

They were looking for places to save money on it, in order to bring the price down.
