I have not seen it but was told he actually wanted 30k as all of his legal troubles there with the landing strip had cost him heaps in atty fees. Just wanted to get it off the property and be done with it. Also the Alabama Aeronautics Division of airports was/or is on his case as he did not have a permit from them to have the strip. 60k is too much but 30k seems not too bad.
At least you have seen it and know the actual condition.

Yeah, I just offered him 30k so if that was his original thought then maybe he'll take it.  It is based on us getting it flying to ferry to my airport though as I can't afford to be the one with an airplane stuck in AL.  His strip is only 30' wide and 2900' or so.  He's a nice guy and seems to be pretty smart about airplanes in general.  It was fun talking to him as he's been around and done quite a bit of stuff.  Most of his claims about the airplane itself were wrong though.  I don't think he purposely was trying to mislead but just didn't realize how much time has passed.

Turns out he just replied and said he already had an offer from someone for more money as is where is.  So we'll see if they get it out and start flying it.  Would love to see another one flying but not sure how we're going to keep both going. :-(
