I really like the guys at GPH.  And, I have spent a night or two in the Elms Hotel.  VERY NICE!  If I can get there, I will.  I might get Darryl and his crew to give me an oil change whilst I am in town...  ;-)

John Towner (and others from Central Airlines) might want to be a part of the gathering, too.  As I wrote above, I really like those guys.  They have done tons of work, keeping my Commander in the air.  I also love the Kansas City area, so if there is any chance for me to get to this fly-in I WILL be there. 

It will be fun to see all the other aircraft from this group, as well!  :-)

Yes, Towner needs to get contacted. He was  bit on the old board, but haven't seen anything from him in quite awhile. Think he still runs close to 15-20 500B's in his operation, which is impressive.

Planning to fly in on Friday morning, stay Friday and Saturday nights. 

We four old guys will likely stay at a less expensive Hilton affiliate.

Ok,  So I am signing the contract on Monday with hotel which gets rooms for roughly $150 a night I think.  It is a cool hotel and would be great if everyone was there together.  We're still working out details for talks and schedule but it should be pretty awesome being around a company that actually uses the airplanes every day.  I'll post more details this coming week.

I'm sorry to have been absent from the board for the last few months.  Work has been killer and my plane has been depressing me.  Trying to get over it and get her flying again but am having to spend over $5000 for a hydraulic pump that looks like it might just be the last one that will ever be rebuilt.   Having to do some soul searching about my plane.

I'm looking forward to it, too.  How great it will be to see a ramp full of commanders!  I'll be up there for a couple days in two weeks.  I do love to stop by and say hello to their DOM, Darryl Frink.  He has sure done great things for my commander...

You do know that the FAA will sponsor components to be rebuilt and stocked in an effort to "keep them Flying"
They would basically create a need to start a run of product if that product was the only thing holding back an airplane from flying. 

May want to look into this as an option too

No, I did not know that, however, I'm not sure how they'd even pull it off as I've been hunting for manuals for them for a while. I even got a contact at the original manufacturer and he found engineering drawings but said they aren't allowed to distribute and they are from a purchased company and everything is still on paper.  He was supposed to get back with me but never did.

 If I could my hands on tolerances and stuff I'd see what it would take to make my own as I have quite a bit of the things I'd need, but some of it would need to be sourced as it wasn't cut on a mill.
