5 year landing gear inspection/overhaul

Does anybody know if the 5-year landing gear inspection is mandatory for Part 91 operations? Or is it the same as the prop overhauls? Does it apply for the 685?

I don't believe it applies to the 685.

The short answer is that gear and props calendar limitations are effectively mandatory for the turbines on Part 91.  Gear is 3000 hours without calendar limitation on 500's but I'm unsure on the 685.  Since it's a piston, you likely are not required but it's probably a good idea.

Good Day! I am hoping you fine men can help me.  I am wondering if the jack pads for the Twin Commanders are all the same? My company (Bogert Aviation ) was asked to make some pads for an FBO that is working on a  500  but I don't have any personal experience with airplane.

Photos of pads for a 500 and a 690 look the same but I can't be sure from the photos.

I believe they are available brand new.
