Nice going.

Don, TCA still sell them brand new. Think it's $11K for a new set, so a lot less expensive than the heated ones. Mine were pretty bad, but in the end I had a specialty aviation shop polish mine and fill in the mounting holes with a special compound so it could be re-drilled/re-mounted and it worked great.
Slumming it in the turboprop world - so you don't have to.

If you're going to disable the pressurization anyway, you should definitely talk to Glenn about if he could use some of your stuff.

Happy to announce more progress

Almost all the trim is walnut blasted, all that is left is some final drilling to the pilots side pillar, and then lots of proseal.  Can't wait for them to be installed.

Very nice! Glad to see some of these non-viable aircraft being put to good use!

Well I've been busy, I noticed that one of the supports to the window was slightly bent, come to piece together that it was in some form of ground accident, I'm guessing another airplanes wing caught the window and pillar?  Anyway this work was done by non-A&Ps and they did a excellent job of hiding their hack repair.  Time to fix that.

I was playing with the bondo, and it started coming off in large chunks.  Guess that is the next thing to be repaired.

Time for the next repair! I understand that they are not the best, but I am a fresh A&P and am using this aircraft to practice a real world repair.  Enjoy!
So they hid some accident repair under Bondo

Got me some lower gasket material, understand the aircraft is not airworthy.

The black foam didn't work, and since this is mostly for cosmetics, the school didn't car what material is used to cushion the plastic from the airframe.

I tried making a refillable PRC gun, it worked for a little but made it past the plunger and just made a mess

Time to address this, it hurt me to have to use automotive bondo to cover up this repair but, it had to be done

The previous owners decided to drill their own holes for this lower trim.  I did what I could to cover up their work

Electrical tape works wonders for sharp lines and PRC

PRC B 1/2 Time

The trim will be painted soon, and then this stage of my school project will be complete.  Next part is the panel and interior.

She looks amazing!

Thank you very much, it has been a journey that I have learned and re-learned tons of information.  Paint will be within the next week or so, and then the instrument panel will be next.  Stay tuned!
