I wouldn't be concerned at all about the Forestry Service history. In fact, I would view that as a plus-- they generally take very good care of their airplanes.

I wasn't suggesting that they're maintenance was in any way lacking (in fact, it's probably as good as it comes), it's just these have spent a lot of time down low, in updrafts and turbulence as spotter planes (I would guess). This might scare some away on a high time plane.
