Woodwards - who repairs and overhauls them?
« on: March 27, 2018, 01:02:34 pm »
Can someone give a few names?

Also, if anyone has any ballpark cost examples?

I'm asking because my top full level is turned up to max and at 17500ft the left engine is about 20 degrees lower than the right one. Someone suggested you could probably just change diaphragms or service it, but not sure if that's possible. Maybe it's like piston engines - once you open them you're pretty much committed to an overhaul.
Slumming it in the turboprop world - so you don't have to.

Doesn't Morris have someone?

I had one of mine done a few years ago, and I don't know who Aero Air sent it to. I think it was around $20k, and as I recall there were both exchange units or overhaul options. Maybe yours is different from the later models?

I have heard that the Bendix units are very difficult to get overhauled, but never heard about any issue with the Woodwards.
