I'm thinking pretty seriously when I repaint mine, to go with the factory scheme. In blue. I need to find out if Norm or Bruce have any of the old factory color books.

Do it Don!  So we aren't the only 980 still in the old stripes up the tail!

Don,

Maybe you find this useful, it’s from our 690A logbook when released from factory in 1973.

Thank you, that's interesting. My logbooks do not show anything about the initial colors on my airplane, but that may be because the first US logbooks are basically empty (just the production test flight signoff) and then they went to the German logs, and no one bothered to put that in those books. Barry Collman did inform me that my airplane was originally "Bavarian Creme," but there is no chance I'm going back to those colors!

That is too bad. Looks like a great airplane, too-- I will be interested to see how it does-- it's very similar to mine in terms of history, equipment, and times.

High-ish time engines. Sounds like the perfect plane for a guy I know - myself!

Slumming it in the turboprop world - so you don't have to.

Needs paint and interior, though... but those are much simpler than the stuff you've been doing, Adam!

What’s up with the number 4 windows on this 980?  You can see them in the interior photos.  It looks like they are installed but from the outside they are covered over and painted?

Weird.

Is that the original interior in the Truly Nolen airplane? It kind of looks like it...

Does anyone know how much they are asking for the Truly Nolen airplane? Just curious what the market range is, with Bruce's new 980 at the top end and this one lower down...
